The Crumble Bulletin Issue #1 A Hero Comes to Town is the first story to be set in the township of Crumble. It’s what doctors would describe as the “early stages”, although they’d be referring to a horrid, fatal and altogether unpleasant kidney disease. Then again, Crumble isn’t too dissimilar.

What’s Issue #1 about?

A Hero Comes to Town introduces the concept of adventurers, also known as heroes, to the world of Crumble. One day, a mysterious and heavily armed woman arrives in the town, offering her services in return for rewards – namely cash and unique items. The townsfolk are delighted! Finally, they have someone to clear out those octorats plaguing the local farms, to return X’s kidnapped daughter from Y bandits, and to murder the last fool who beat them at cards.

But it doesn’t take long for the good and less-good folk of Crumble to realise that something is amiss with their brave, wonderful adventurer. Can Flynn, Mary and the rest of the Bulletin find out what’s wrong and do something about it?

Probably not – they’re fairly useless.
